George Jones Tribute Concert Tickets for Cheap!

November 22nd was slated to be one of the biggest farewell concerts of all time, with well over 40 acts scheduled to appear at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena for what was to be the final concert of George Jones’s career.

Following the singer’s death on April 26, the sold-out concert remains on the schedule, with the event now taking on the theme of a George Jones tribute.

“Everyone has been asking if we will still do the show,” says Nancy Jones, George’s widow. “I have asked Garth, Kid Rock, Travis Tritt, The Oak Ridge Boys, Montgomery Gentry, Sam Moore, Charlie Daniels, Jamey Johnson and others and they all said ‘yes, I am still going to do it’ so with all the artists still planning on coming, we are going to honor George one final time.”

The concert – which was to be the final one of Jones’s “Grand Tour,’ was slated to put the wraps on the artist’s stage career. Instead, the singer entered Nashville’s Vanderbilt Hospital on April 18 with a fever and irregular blood pressure, passing away eight days later.

Mrs. Jones has not made contact with each individual artist as of yet to confirm their participation in the concert. Names that were scheduled to participate included Alan Jackson, Kenny Rogers, Patty Loveless, and Randy Travis. A list of confirmed talent will be available at GeorgeJones.com.
