One Direction will be touring the U.S. this summer, but the boy band has already looking ahead to its 2014 tour. On Thursday (May 16), the group announced the first dates of next year’s “Where We Are” stadium tour, which will begin in South America in April 2014.
After kicking the run off in Bogota, Colombia on April 25, 1D will visit Peru, Paraguay, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil before heading back north for shows in Ireland and the U.K. “Don’t worry if you don’t see your country – more dates will be added very soon!” the group promises.
Tickets for the U.K. and Ireland shows go on sale on May 25, while the South American shows go on sale at various dates next month.
Meanwhile, One Direction is readying an arena trek across the States that begins on June 13 in Ft. Lauderdale. The group is promoting its latest album, “Take Me Home,” which has sold 1.7 million copies since its November release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. “This Is Us,” the boy band’s debut 3D feature film, is slated to hit theaters on Aug. 30.
