Americana duo Shovels & Rope will begin their fall headlining tour on Sept. 6 in Montreal. Currently the tour is scheduled
through Nov. 1-3 for the Voodoo Music Experience in New Orleans.
Based in Charleston, S.C., the duo is nominated in four categories at the Americana Music & Awards ceremony, slated for Sept. 18 in Nashville. They will compete for emerging artist, duo/group, album (O Be Joyful) and song (“Birmingham”). The video for “Birmingham” was added to rotation on CMT and CMT Pure earlier this year.
