It’s almost time to swoon! Tickets are now on sale for the upcoming Broadway musical The Bridges of Madison County, starring four-time Tony nominee Kelli O’Hara and Steven Pasquale. Directed by Tony winner Bartlett Sher, the romantic tuner will begin previews at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on January 17, 2014. An official opening night is scheduled for February 27.
Based on the acclaimed novel by Robert James Waller, The Bridges of Madison County features music and lyrics by Tony winner Jason Robert Brown and a book by Tony and Pulitzer Prize winner Marsha Norman. Bridges tells the story of a devoted Iowa housewife named Francesca Johnson (O’Hara) and her unlikely love affair with Robert Kincaid (Pasquale), a National Geographic photographer. The novel was adapted into a 1995 film starring Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood, who also helmed the movie. Read more on the release here.
