Maybe it was his brown silk pajama outfit that made Prince feel so comfortable during the second of a three night stand at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena, that he just didn’t feel like going home.
While a somewhat impatient sold-out crowd hung in for more than two hours past the advertised start time on Dec. 28, they were not left disappointed with his purple majesty’s marathon set that stretched until nearly 1 am, and incorporated more than three dozen songs.
Based on setlists from Prince’s other two shows that weekend, it was Saturday’s program that brought both quantity and a huge swath of quality originals and cover songs to the fore, as he sprinkled no fewer than 11 of them among his own hits and deep album cuts. Read more here.
