Outkast confirmed today that its Coachella appearance is just the beginning of the duo’s reunion plans. André 3000 and Big Boi are headed to dozens and dozens of festivals around the world this spring and summer.
The guys were pretty much required to do something big this year. After all, not only is the upcoming trek the act’s first tour since 2002, but 2014 also marks the 20th anniversary of the hip hop duo’s debut studio album, Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik.
André 3000 and Big Boi aren’t talking specific dates yet but if you’re planning on attending a festival this year, you’re almost guaranteed to see Outkast on stage.
Today’s announcement said the act will play more than 40 festivals across the globe. The fun begins with Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, which takes place April 11-13 and 18-20 in Indio, Calif., at the Empire Polo Club. Read more on the release here.
