Tony Bennett is going on tour in 2017 and it all kicks off at the Durham Performing Arts Center in Durham, NC on February 19th.
Bennnett’s 90th birthday television special airs on NBC on Dec. 20. The program includes appearances by Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, Aretha Franklin,Diana Krall, Rufus Wainwright and Stevie Wonder. Billy Joel, Elton John and Bob Dylan sent in taped performances for the occasion.
Tony Bennett is a pop and jazz singer. In 1951 he released his single ‘Because of You’ which rose him to national fame. Soon to follow was his highly acclaimed album, The Beat of My Heart.
