Green Day Announce Summer Tour Dates – Tickets and Promo Code

Green Day are hitting the road on a North American “Revolution Radio” tour in 2017 and kicking it all off on March 1st in Phoenix, AZ at the Talking Stick Resort Arena.

The band will be out in support of their new album, Revolution Radio.

Green Day is an American punk rock band formed in 1986 in East Bay, California by vocalist/guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt. The band, supposedly named after marijuana, played bars and clubs locally before releasing their debut album, 39/Smooth. Green Day was inspired by bands like No Doubt and Coldplay.

Their next album, Kerplunk!, gained the band not only national attention but a recording contract with Repise Records. Green Day started playing larger venues and tickets were selling out for many of their shows.

In 1994, Dookie was released under their new label and is often described as their most popular album. The album features the hit singles “Basket Case” and “When I Come Around”. Green Day tickets were selling out quickly and they began to play bigger festivals like Woodstock and Lollapalooza.

For much of the group’s career, the band has been a trio with drummer Tré Cool, who replaced former drummer John Kiffmeyer in 1990 prior to the recording of the band’s second studio album, Kerplunk.

With their punk rock style and inspiring bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam, the band slowed to gain the fame on their next couple of albums. It wasn’t until American Idiot was released that they started their big revival and started selling tickets again! The album won them a Grammy Award for “Best Rock and Album” and in 2004 the album was made into a musical. Green Day began booking shows all over the world including Europe, Australia, and Japan.
