James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt Announce More Dates – Tickets and Promo Code

James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt are hitting the road together in 2017 and the tour kicks off on July 6th at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

Taylor and Raitt have both released new music in recent years. Taylor put out Before This World in 2015 and Raitt’s 17th studio album, Dig in Deep, was released in 2016.

James Taylor is considered one of the greatest music artists of all time and has released more than 20 albums and 30 million records.

James Taylor was born in 1948, in Boston, MA, but grew up near Chapel Hill, NC. Taylor began his career after high school and formed several small groups buy they were short-lived and Taylor fell into drug addiction.

In a move to get away from drug addiction Taylor moved to London where he began his solo career. While there, he submitted a demo tape to The Beatles’ Apple Records label in pursuit of a solo career. He released his debut album, James Taylor, in 1969 to little success.

Taylor soon moved back to the U.S. and it was here his music career began to sky rocket. He released his second album, Sweet Baby James, that featured the hit single “Fire and Rain”. After an equally successful third album, Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon, Taylor released several more moderately successful efforts. In 1977 Taylor released his album, JT, which included the hit singles “Your Smiling Face” and “Handy Man.”

Taylor has won five Grammy Awards, including three separate wins for Best Pop Vocal Performance: Male.

In 2015, James Taylor released, Before This World, his first original album since the 2002.

Born in 1949 to parents Broadway star John Raitt and pianist Marjorie Haydock, Bonnie Raitt was from Burbank, CA. Although she began playing guitar at an early age, while in college, Bonnie Raitt planned to travel to Tanzania where the president was in the process of implementing a government based on socialism and democracy. However, she became friends with a blues promoter who encouraged her to move to Philadelphia to purse music full time.

In 1970, Bonnie Raitt signed a deal with Warner Bros., and a year later she released her debut self-titled album. The album failed to increase her popularity. In 1972, Bonnie Raitt released Give It Up to unanimous accolades. To this day, it is considered by many to be her best album.

In 1989, Raitt released, Nick of Time, which proved to be her most popular album. The album sold five million copies and took home three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.

Bonnie Raitt has released a total of 17 albums and continues to spend much of her time performing for fans across the country.
