Scorpions and Megadeth are hitting the road in North America in 2017 and kicking it all off on September 14th in Reading, PA.
Formed in 1965, Scorpions are a German rock band put together by Rudolf Schenker. Their music style has been described as hard rock and heavy metal. The lineup from 1978–92 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included singer Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Francis Buchholz, and Herman Rarebell. The band’s only constant member has been Rudolf Schenker. Their best-selling album Crazy World contained the hit song “Wind of Change”, a symbolic anthem of the political changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early 1990s and the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Megadeth is a thrash metal band from Los Angeles, CA. The group was formed by guitarist Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson, shortly after Mustaine’s dismissal from Metallica. A pioneer of the American thrash metal scene, the band is credited as one of the genre’s “big four” with Anthrax, Metallica and Slayer.
