Born in Shreveport, LA in 1949, Randall Hank Williams is a country music singer, songwriter and musician icon. His musical style is often considered a blend of Southern rock, blues, and traditional country. His father was the legendary country music singer Hank Williams. He died an unexpectantly early death and Hank was raised by his mother. Although Williams’s recordings earned him numerous country hits throughout the 1960s and early 1970s with his role as a “Hank Williams impersonator”, he became disillusioned and severed ties with his mother. He has five children: Hank Williams III, Holly Williams, Hilary Williams, Samuel Williams, and Katie Williams. Jr.’s musical influences were Johnny Cash, Fats Domino, Earl Scruggs, Lightnin’ Hopkins, and Jerry Lee Lewis. Williams’ can play numerous instruments like the guitar, bass guitar, upright bass, steel guitar, banjo, dobro, piano, keyboards, harmonica, fiddle, and drums.
