Yes are hitting the road in North America in 2017 and kicking it all off on August 4th in Greensboro, NC.
Established in 1968, Yes (original name was Mabel Greer’s Toyshop) are an English rock band formed by singer Jon Anderson and bassist Chris Squire. The band has undergone numerous formations throughout its history; nineteen musicians have been full-time members. Since June 2015, it has consisted of Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, Jon Davison, and Billy Sherwood.
Yes broke up briefly from 1981 to 1983 but had three very successful albums in the 70’s, The Yes Album (1971), Fragile (1971) and Close to the Edge (1972). Yes is known for their elaborate stage sets, light displays, and album covers designed by Roger Dean. In 1983, Yes released 90125, which became their mist successful album, and included the hit single, “Owner of a Lonely Heart”. In 1985, they won a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance with “Cinema”, and received five Grammy nominations between 1985 and 1992. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April 2017.
