Born in England, David Gray is a singer-songwriter who released his first studio album in 1993 and received worldwide attention after the release of White Ladder six years later. Gray has been nominated for four Brit Awards – twice for Best British Male.

Born in Decatur, IL, Alison Krauss is a superstar bluegrass-country singer and musician. She entered the music industry at an early age, winning local contests by the age of ten and recording for the first time at fourteen. She released her first solo album in 1987 and soon after joined Alison Krauss and Union Station (AKUS).

Her music has helped renew interest in bluegrass music in the United States. Her soundtrack performances like O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Cold Mountain led to her performance at the 2004 Academy Awards.

She has won 27 Grammy Awards from 42 nominations and is the most awarded female artist in Grammy history.
