The 2016 season saw the Redskins play in London for the first time in franchise history, where they tied the Cincinnati Bengals 27-27. The Redskins dealt with some quarterback issues however posted a 8-7-1 record on the season and 3rd place finish in the NFC East. The Redskins are looking to rebuild in the 2017-18 NFL season and make it back to the NFL playoffs.

Formed in 1932, the Washington Redskins are a professional football team based in Washington, DC. The Redskins compete in the National Football League (NFL) in the NFC East division against rivals Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Giants. The Redskins plays their home games at FedExField in Landover, MD in front of 82,000 football fans. The Redskins were the first team in the NFL with an official marching band, and the first team to have a fight song, “Hail to the Redskins”.

The Redskins won the 1937 and 1942 Championship games, as well as Super Bowls XVII, XXII, and XXVI. They also played in, and lost, the 1936, 1940, 1943, and 1945 Championship games, as well as Super Bowls VII and XVIII. Sonny Jurgensen, Sam Huff, Art Monk, John Riggins, and Jose Gibbs are just a few of the Pro Football Hall of Famers to play and coach for the franchise over the years.
