Milwaukee Brewers vs. Nationals, Pirates, Cubs, and Reds – September Games

In 1969, Bud Selig purchased the Seattle Pilots and moved them to his hometown of Milwaukee, WI. In 1970 the Pilots took on the name the Milwaukee Brewers. Brewers comes from the long history the city has in the beer brewing business.

Robin Yount is one of the bright stars in the Brewers baseball organization. He played with the team from 19 to 1993. With his play the Brewer reached the MLB playoffs twice and in 1982 advanced to the World Series where they lost to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Brewers have never won a World Series or AL or NL pennant.

In 1997 the Brewers moved to the National League Central division where they play against teams like Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, Pittsburgh Pirates, and Cincinnati Reds.
