Washington Capitals Tickets, NHL Schedule, Venues, Seating Charts, and Promo Code

The Washington Capitals are one of the strongest NHL teams on the east coast. The Capitals have made the NHL playoffs 7 out of the last 8 years. Last year the Capitals finished with a 55-19-8 record however lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the second round of the NHL Playoffs. The Capitals will be looking to extend that Playoff record in the 2017-18 NHL season.

Founded in 1974, the Washington Capitals were one of two teams to join the NHL that year. The Capitals are in our nation’s capital and play their home games at the beautiful Verizon Center in downtown Washington, DC.

Although the Capitals are a competitive and dangerous team year in and year out the Capitals have yet to win a Stanley Cup Championship. They compete in the Metropolitan Division of the NHL Eastern Conference against teams like the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, New York Rangers, Philadelphia Flyers, and Pittsburgh Penguins. They have won their division 9 times.

In 2004, the Capitals drafted Alexander Ovechkin which immediately increased attendance and fans started buying hockey tickets to see this man in action.  Averaging over 54 goals per season Ovechkin has become a superstar in the league.
