Guns N’ Roses was formed in 1985 and the band was made up of Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan, and Stephen Adler. The new act quickly gained national fame with their “Hell Tour.” The band came out swinging with popular singles that have now become Guns N’ Roses classics, such as “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Diamonds in the Rough,” “Paradise City,” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” After the tour ended, the band went into the production of their next album, Appetite for Destruction.

Appetite for Destruction, which was released in 1987, caught fire when the video for “Sweet Child O’ Mine” began airing on television. It is the band’s most successful album, with over 28 million records sold worldwide.

Shortly thereafter the band headed out on its “Appetite for Destruction Tour,” and started working on their next album, G N’ R Lies. It was another huge success, peaking at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and selling five million copies.

Moving into the 2000’s the band’s original lineup was gone, but Rose moved on with new members Paul Huge, Robin Finck, Tommy Stinson, and Josh Freese. The band failed to reach their previous success but in 2006, the band finally launched a new full-scale tour with the then-current lineup, the first successful concert series since 1994.

In 2008, Chinese Democracy was released, but it did not match the success of the band’s previous albums and reviews were mixed.

With most of the original band coming back together after arguments and fighting the band set out on a stadium tour in the summer of 2016. The band played massive stadiums like AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, Camping World Stadium in Orlando, FL, and Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, CA.
