The WWE has been around for over 50 years! The brand and events themselves have been family friendly events that some venues throughout the country sell-out on a regular basis. Find your tickets for all WWE events at CapitalCityTickets.com to see your favorite pro wrestler in person.
The WWE is the largest professional wrestling promotion company in the world. WEE has created several independent brands within the brand like WWE: Raw, WWE: Smackdown, and WWE: NXT Live.
Roderick “Jess” McMahon and Joseph Mondt founded the originally regional wrestling brand in 1952. It was mostly operated in the Northeast United States. Vince J. McMahon (Jess McMahon son) eventually took over the company and renamed the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) and later the World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
In 1980, Vincent K. McMahon, after buying the company from his father, took the wrestling marketing from a regional business plan to a national business plan. He used several tactics to accomplish including ideas like: pay-per-view, video recordings, and television.
WWF Monday Night Raw (first televised event) televised on January 11, 1993. The event was performed as a live event which brought record ticket sales rather than filmed on a sound stage or back studio lot.
WrestleMania has been produced annually since 1985, and is the championship that brings together all the WWE brands in a final showdown. Typically, two wrestlers will match up to win the championship title. The type of match is pre-determined and has ranged from a “no disqualification match” to a “steel cage match.”
Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels, and The Rock are WrestleMania graduates and the event has made them worldwide celebrities.
Because of the many brands WWE encompasses, fans have a lot of opportunities to buy all kinds of WWE tickets. Find your WWE tickets today at CapitalCityTickets.com and enjoy a family fun event in your city!
