The Atlanta Hawks are coming of a successful 2017-18 NBA season. After posting a 43-39 record and placing 2nd in the Eastern Conference for the regular NBA season, the Hawks eventually lost to the Washington Wizards in the NBA Playoffs first round. Look for the Hawks to make another strong statement in the 2017-18 NBA Season.

Founded in 1946 in Buffalo, NY the franchise eventually moved to Atlanta, GA in 1968 where they took on the name the Atlanta Hawks and joined the NBA. The Hawks play in the highly competitive Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference against teams like Washington Wizards, Miami Heat, Charlotte Hornets, and Orlando Magic. They play their home games at the beautiful Philips Arena in downtown Atlanta which seats around 19,000 screaming fans on a nightly basis.

The only championship the Hawks have to their name is in 1958 when they played under the name the St. Louis Hawks (before moving permanently to Atlanta). The Hawks currently own the second-longest drought (behind the Sacramento Kings) of not winning an NBA championship at 57 seasons. Some of the most popular Hawks to play in the system are Doc Rivers, Kevin Willis, Al Horford, Jeff Teague, and Dominique Wilkins.
