U2 is an Irish rock band from Dublin, Ireland. The band consist of members Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and Larry Mullen Jr. They met at the Mount Temple Comprehensive School in 1976. The band originated as a punk band but eventually moved into a more popular genre category. The band released Boy in the mid 80’s and quickly became an international music sensation. When the band released Joshua Tree the album sales went through the roof. U2 has won 22 Grammy’s and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.
