The Pittsburgh Steelers had a good 2017 NFL season considering they battled injuries all season long. The Steelers finished the season at 13 and 3 with a 1st place finish in the AFC North. They lost in the AFC Divisional game to the Jacksonville Jaguars at home. The Steelers are looking to make it back to the Super Bowl in the 2018-19 NFL season.

The strongest argument the Steelers have going for them, which they would use in court as exhibit A, is their Super Bowl wins. The Pittsburgh Steelers have been to eight Super Bowls and their six wins is most all-time. Winning the most championships ever is hard to ignore.
Next the Steelers would pull out exhibit B, which would be their total wins. In the team’s existence, the Pittsburgh Steelers have won 624 games. In the modern era, 1970 until now, the Steelers have recorded more wins than any other franchise. The Steelers have also managed to win the AFC North 20 times and have been the AFC champions eight times over that same span.
Now for exhibit C, elite players. It is every player’s dream to be inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame, but very few ever make it. The Steelers boast 18 players who are enshrined in Canton, Ohio. Only two other teams have had this honor bestowed upon more of their players. Some of the best players to ever step onto the football field have played for the Steelers. A few notable Hall of Famers include; Rod Woodson, Lynn Swann, “Mean” Joe Greene, Terry Bradshaw, and Jerome Bettis.
It’s hard to argue the numbers. The Pittsburgh Steelers have made a great case for themselves as to why they are the greatest franchise in the NFL. While there have certainly been other franchises who can try and claim they are the greatest of all time, it would be hard to rebuttal after hearing all of the facts laid out by the Steelers.
