During his Dinkytown days, Zimmerman began introducing himself as “Bob Dylan”.

Dylan’s lyrics incorporate a wide range of political, social, philosophical, and literary influences. Bob Dylan dropped out of college in 1960 and moved to New York City. He began writing songs prolifically and released his first album, Bob Dylan, in 1962.
